Baylor Institute of Immunology
Researchers at the Baylor Institute for Immunological Research will utilize the PlexArray™ to quantitatively detect cytokines in clinical samples. They currently rely on Luminex technology, but view the PlexArray™ System as a high-throughput and cost-effective alternative and potential replacement. To further multiplex their assays, the Baylor researchers plan to merge the PlexArray™ System with the Wasatch microfluidic system, a novel continuous flow microspotter. This fluidic system will be used as a 2-D array of independent flow cells, allowing for the simultaneous measurement of dozens of self-contained protein microarrays.
